Tabanan regency is one of 8 districts/1 city which have agriculture characteristic, with width of the area about 893.33 km² (19.9% from width of Bali island). Administratively Tabanan regency divided into 8 subdistricts, 10 administrative villages, 103 villages, 663 sub-villages, 663 environments, and 374,129 people with rate of growth 0.71%.
As agriculture area, so agriculture become the mean of livelihood of the people namely about 50.16%, while commercial sector, hotel and restaurant are the second of mean of livelihood about 15.6%, and others is done in household industrial about 11.27% and services sector about 10.93%.... Bedugul is the name a small village, located on a high plateau in the center of the island, 18 km north of Denpasar and 1400 meters above sea level, is known for its excellent golf course. As it's location in the main road connecting the north and south of Bali. It is the perfect place to stop for a night on an island tour. Air cold and fog are the natural place. Bedugul also a center of horticulture. We will find plenty of fruits and vegetables. A pine forest seems to create freshness in the air. Here located 3 of 4 lakes in Bali, Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan. Bratan, the largest of the three is the perfect place for water sports like para sailing, navigation engine, jet skiing, water skiing, canoeing, etc. A beautiful view is the Ulun Danu temple to which sems out of the lake.

The history of The Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, In Candikuning Village, Baturiti, Tabanan regency, was writen on Babad Mengwi Story. The Story is like this : Long years ago mentioned that I Gusti Agung Putu lose in a fight with i Gusti Ngurah Batu Tumpeng or Ki Ngurah Kekeran. As a looser I Gusti Agung Putu then became a prisoner and given to I Gusti Ngurah Tabanan, and next from I Gusti Ngurah Tabanan given to I Gusti Bebalang from Marga. Not for a long time in Marga, I Gusti Agung Putu then went t Pucak Mangu, to increase his power and his holyness, because he has been loose. At Pucak Mangu, he receive more power and more holyness as a warior.
Tanah Lot, one of the most popular places of interest in Bali, is located on the coast of West Bali, at the village of Beraban in the Tabanan Regency.It is also called Tanah Let which means ancient land and also Tanah Lod, which means the land to the south. The Pura Puncak Mangu temple located on the top of Gunung Catur (2096 m). The history of Pucak mangu writen on the Babad Mengwi Story. Which is the place where the same one that used by I Gusti Agung Putu on story in creation of Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. Pn Pucak Mangu I gusti Agung Putu get a lot of Power and holyness. And after beat I Gusti Ngurah Kekeran he became the first king of Mengwi and change his name become Tjokorda Sakti Blambangan.
